Since then, she moved to Montreal to continue her studies in dance at l’école de danse contemporaine de Montréal, where she trained for three years under Myriam Saad and Isabelle Morrisette. Since graduating, she has developed a career as both dancer and teacher and has been teaching yoga and pilates since 2009 and 2012 respectively. Since August 2015 Melina has had the privilege of teaching the 2nd year dance students at l’école de danse contemporaine de Montréal where she has developed a teaching style that addresses subtle details as well as deep core strength, mobility and awareness. Melina continues to delve into the continuously evolving world of physical training and the pilates framework keeps her inspired and passionate about helping people, both professional dancers and people from all walks of life, be more happy and healthy in their own bodies.
Melina Stinson was first introduced to pilates through the dance department at the University of Calgary in 2004 where she studied anatomy and kinesiology and obtained her BA in dance.
